ICEAF VIII – 8th International Conference of Engineering Against Failure

From 22 to 25 June 2025, the city of Kalamata in Greece hosted the eighth ICEAF conference. This international event, launched in Patras in 2008, brings together experts from around the world to discuss the latest innovations in failure prevention and analysis in the fields of aerospace, automotive, energy, bioengineering and civil engineering.

Claudio Mingazzini (ENEA – MCC Laboratory) presented the outcomes of the BRILLIANT Project, which focuses on developing composite materials with a reduced environmental footprint. These materials are made using natural fibres, eco-friendly hydrophobic treatments, and resins of biological origin.
